I play poker because it provides me a great rush while at the same time allowing me to be profitable in stead of EV-. I play poker because I like to test myself against opponents, something I can hardly ever do on the tennis field anymore because of knee problems – and last but not least – I play poker because I like to gamble; and this is the only way for me to play a game of chance without having to go broke over the course of the next few decades.

I know I’m taking money from other people – but to me – that’s better than giving money to the casino.
